Renal (Haemodialyis & Peritoneal Unit)

Image for Renal (Haemodialyis & Peritoneal Unit)

The Renal Unit is based at Russells Hall Hospital and provides haemodialysis for patients whose kidneys have failed to function. These patients attend the unit for dialysis three times a week for up to five hours.

We also offer home Haemodialysis treatment on completion of a training period.

We also have two newly refurbished satellite units in Kidderminster and Tipton.

The Peritoneal dialysis unit is based in the same unit and provides training and support for patients who are receiving, or who will be starting, Chronic Ambulatory Peritoneal Dialysis (CAPD). CAPD is carried out by the patients in their own homes.
