London Marathon 2024 – Meet our #TeamDudley runners

On Sunday, 21st April 2024, 50,000 runners will have the chance to be a part of the biggest marathon ever staged anywhere in the world. This year the Dudley Group NHS Charity has three people taking part in the big race in London.

Our amazing runners will be fundraising for our charity over the next few months, we will be profiling their journeys and supporting them with their fundraising efforts #TeamDudley.

Emma Tetsill and Liz Allen

Elizabeth is a nurse currently working on the Acute Medical Unit (AMU) at Russells Hall Hospital. Patients are admitted from A&E 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  At any one time up to 92 patients can be receiving treatment with a wide variety of medical conditions.

Elizabeth and Emma, a trainee solicitor at George Green Solicitors, have been friends for 12 years. They are jointly fundraising to enhance the experience of patients while on AMU.  Please support their efforts by donating to their joint fundraising page:

Lee Meacham

Lee Meacham will be running 26.2 miles this April after securing a place in the London Marathon. He will be running in memory of one of his friends, Grant Clifford who passed away six years ago at Russells Hall Hospital which is part of The Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust. Over the last few years, Grants family and friends have fundraised and supported the creation of an adolescent room in the department, Lee wants to continue to keep Grant’s legacy alive by continuing to fundraise for the same department.
