Ash is responsible for providing clinical simulation training for the undergraduate medical students, nursing and allied health professionals. The simulation training takes place in a purpose built simulation centre. The simulation centre is a multi-purpose centre that can be a two bedded ward area or an operating theatre with a fully functional anaesthetic machine and operating table. The simulation centre has fully integrated audio and visual recording equipment and piped medical gases. The simulation training that takes place in the simulation centre ranges from diagnosing and initiating treatment of the acute patient to providing simulation scenarios for healthcare professionals on breaking bad news.
