I am a newly qualified Speech and Language Therapist working on the stroke ward (C8). I carry out initial language assessments, develop therapy plans and create communication aids to support patients’ speech and language needs.
I’m passionate about delivering patient-centred care by taking into account their therapy goals and incorporating their interests in therapy to increase patient engagement and satisfaction of care. I also work with the multidisciplinary team to facilitate patient progress and complete discharge reports to ease patient transition to the next care pathway.
