I have been an SLT now for over 23 years; 14 years have been here at RHH. I currently manage the Voice and ENT Service; closely working with the ENT; assessing and treating patients with a range of voice disorders.
I am directly involved with running a Joint Voice Clinic (with the ENT Dept) and a FEES clinic (Fibre Optic Evaluation of the Swallow), with an SLT colleague.
My satisfaction as an SLT is providing holistic care and continuity; applying a patient centred approach, seeing the patient through their pathway from start to finish; improving the patient experience and outcome for the better.
