Trust welcomes new Chairman and Non-executive Director

The Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust has welcomed new Chairman Jenni Ord and new Non-executive Director Julian Atkins to the Trust. Both Jenni and Julian started their new roles from 1st January 2016.

Jenni, who was previously Chair of Health Education West Midlands, took over the role of Chairman from David Badger who retired on 31st December 2015.

“I’m absolutely delighted to take on this new and exciting role at a trust where I believe great patient care and excellent services are delivered to the people of Dudley and the surrounding areas,” said Jenni.

“The Trust has had an excellent year to date with fantastic performance in many areas and I look forward to ensuring this success continues and excels further in the future through working collaboratively and productively with our colleagues in health, social care and the voluntary sector.”

As Chairman, Jenni’s key role is to lead the Board of Directors in managing Trust performance and maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Julian Atkins has succeeded David Bland as Non-executive Director and will be part of the Council of Governors’ Strategy Committee. Julian joined the Trust after retiring from his post as Head of Human Resources at Coventry Building Society.

Non-executive directors bring an independent perspective to the Board of Directors and challenge decisions and proposals made by the executive team.
