We are currently operating an initial telephone triage service. We are receiving a high volume of calls at this moment and appreciate your patience with us . Our aim is to answer all calls in a timely manner during this difficult time for all.

Appropriate social distancing measures are in place within the clinic for your safety. In addition, we are slowly reintroducing procedures such as coils, implants and smears. This is a gradual process and we appreciate your patience during this time.

Please note: patients who attend for walk-in appointments won’t be seen at any of our clinics. Our doors are locked, so please do NOT attend without an appointment.

Worried about sexually transmitted infections?                                                                                    

We advise all sexually active people to get tested for chlamydia, gonorrhoea, syphilis and HIV – simple check and go.

Check and go service (full sexual health testing for asymptomatic patients) – self testing, no examination required.

The check and go service is available at Brierley Hill Health and Social Care Centre- please call to book an appointment .

  • If you have symptoms, you will need to visit our other site at Russells Hall Hospital GU Medicine.
  • If you require treatment or are a contact of infection, please attend Russells Hall Hospital GU Medicine.

If you are experiencing any of the following coronavirus symptoms, you must stay at home:

  • High temperature
  • New, continuous cough
  • Loss of taste or smell

Access to Services

We are currently only operating from Brierley Hill with easy access and free parking on site.

Our clinic is located on the first floor of Brierley Hill Health & Social Care Centre, Venture Way, Brierley Hill, DY5 1RU.

Revised opening times during COVID:

Monday: 9am – 5pm

Tuesday: 8.30am – 4.30pm

Wednesday: 1.30pm – 6pm

Thursday: 9am – 7pm

Friday: 8.30am – 12.30pm

We close for lunch between 12.30pm and 1.30pm at our Brierley Hill clinic. 


The Dudley Group Contraception & Sexual Health Service provides free and confidential sexual health services in the Dudley area including all types of contraception and STI testing.

We do not discriminate regardless of age, race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity or disability. We are an open, non-judgemental and inclusive place for people that identify as LGBT+*. Everyone is welcome and you don’t need to see a GP first. You can attend one of our walk in clinics or make an appointment.

The community clinics offer a range of contraception services including:

  • Contraception advice and provision
  • Condoms
  • Emergency contraception
  • Implants
  • Contraceptive pills
  • Depo injections
  • IUS or IUD (coils)
  • Pregnancy tests
  • Full sexual health screening (asymptomatic)
  • Referrals to sexual health clinic or other services where appropriate
  • Smear tests
  • Check and go sexual health testing

Need emergency contraception? This is free at all our clinics.

What are the three methods of emergency contraception?

  • The IUD (intrauterine device or coil) is the most effective method and can be fitted up to five days after sex.
  • The emergency contraceptive pill Levonelle can be taken up to three days (72 hours) after sex.
  • The emergency contraceptive pill EllaOne can be taken up to five days (120 hours) after sex. Please see link below for pharmacies that supply emergency contraception. (Please note: they may not supply EllaOne)

Worried you may be pregnant?

  • We can do a pregnancy test for you.
  • We can provide advice if you are unsure what to do about your pregnancy.
  • We can arrange for an appointment for you to discuss your pregnancy options.

We can provide advice if you are unsure what to do about your pregnancy, but if you have decided on a termination and do not want to be seen by the nurse and wish to self-refer you can contact British Pregnancy Advisory Service on 03457 304030 for a pre termination appointment if you wish.
