Patients who have received excellent care at The Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust have the chance to nominate for the Trust’s annual staff awards.
The Patient Choice Award is a category in the annual Committed to Excellence Awards that recognises individuals and teams for their dedication and commitment to patient care.
Nominations are welcome from people who have been an inpatient at Russells Hall Hospital, attended an outpatient appointment or received treatment in the community or in their own homes. Or they may feel a member of staff has made a real difference to a loved one.

Last year, our paediatric diabetes team received the 2023 Patient Choice Award after being nominated by families whose children were affected by diabetes. One family said of the team: “We were so lucky to have an amazing paediatric team looking after our daughter. The care we received was excellent and when we were trying to get our heads around how to manage the life changing condition the team were brilliant.”
Trust chief executive Diane Wake said she was delighted to announce that the nominations were open.
“The Committed to Excellence Awards are always a highlight of the year and it’s a brilliant chance to reflect on the hard work and the selfless dedication of our staff and volunteers.”
The closing date for nominations is midnight on Sunday 25th February 2024. Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on Thursday 27th June 2024.
