Laura Broster – Group Director of Communications

Laura Broster joined in June 2025 as Group Director of Communications for Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust and The Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust.

With over two decades of experience in NHS communications and a Marketing degree from the University of Wolverhampton, Laura has established herself as a seasoned leader in strategic communications and stakeholder engagement. She has held previous roles at NHS Black Country Integrated Care Board and NHS Dudley Clinical Commissioning Group. Spending the majority of her career in the Black Country demonstrates her longstanding commitment to and growth in healthcare planning.

Laura is dedicated to using insight to drive targeted communications that supports health improvement. She believes that the NHS has an important story to tell—one that showcases the dedication of our staff, the impact of our services, and the difference we make to local communities.

Known for her collaborative approach, she brings together NHS staff, service users, and partners to develop coherent, inclusive communication strategies. She is responsible for internal and external communications, ensuring that staff have the information they need to deliver high-quality care, and that patients and local communities feel informed, engaged, and connected with the organisation.
