Local NHS Charity Seeks Business Support for Sunrise Snowdon Challenge

The Dudley Group NHS Charity is calling on local businesses to sponsor a unique fundraising challenge as staff and their families from Russells Hall Hospital prepare to climb Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) at sunrise.

Organised by The Dudley Group NHS Charity in partnership with Sky Blue Adventures, the Sunrise Snowdon Challenge will take place on Sunday 17 July. Participants will begin their ascent at 2am, aiming to reach the summit in time to watch the sunrise.

The charity is seeking sponsorship from businesses to support the event, helping to enhance the experience for participants while raising vital funds for patients and services across the Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust.

Hannah White, infection, prevention, control matron said:
“Taking on the Sunrise Snowdon Challenge is a real personal test, but also a fantastic opportunity to give something back. Working at the Trust, we see every day the difference that charitable funding makes to patients and their families. Climbing through the night to reach the summit at sunrise feels symbolic of the challenges many of our patients face, and I’m proud to be part of something that supports them.”

Businesses interested in sponsoring the challenge can contact the fundraising team at dgft.fundraising@nhs.net.
