The Dudley Group invites members of the public to join their Annual Members Meeting

Members of the public are invited to find out more about The Dudley Group’s past year and future priorities by joining its Annual Members Meeting.

This year’s Annual Members Meeting (AMM) will be held on Thursday 16th October, at the Russells Hall Hospital’s in the Clinical Education Centre.

The AMM will be hosted by Trust deputy chair Gary Crowe and chief executive Diane Wake and will showcase the Trust’s achievements over the past year. They will be joined by the lead governor and fellow governors that make up the Trust’s council and members of the Trust board, along with the Trust’s auditors.

As well as looking over the work of the Trust over the past year, the AMM will also shine a spotlight on the Trust’s ‘community first’ approach to delivering care to the population of Dudley. The Trust will also look ahead to the next 12 months, focusing on valuing its people, making best use of resources, improving speed of access to planned care and developing thriving partnerships.

Trust chief executive, Diane Wake said: “I am delighted that we are able invite our local community to this year’s Annual Members Meeting and I look forward to welcoming attendees to Russells Hall Hospital.

“We are very eager to share the Trust’s achievements over the past year, including our positive Care Quality Commission ratings and our continued success with clinical teams receiving Gold Standards Framework accreditation. I am also pleased to share what we as a Trust will be focusing on in the upcoming future, and our initiatives to provide excellent care in the community to the people in Dudley. This includes highlighting the work of our innovative virtual wards and the multi-disciplinary teams that support patients to get the care they need safely at the place they call home, rather than needing to visit our acute hospital site.”

The Dudley Group aims reflect the national 10 year plan ambitions locally, including a move towards digital, the improvement of care, preventing illness and bringing services closer to home. This year’s Annual members Meeting provides opportunity to celebrate the progress of the Trust over the past year, but also highlight how initiatives such as virtual wards and a community first approach is supporting this vision.

Following the meeting, a ‘behind the scenes’ tour will take place around some of the key departments at the Trust. This gives a unique opportunity for attendees to gain an insider’s view into the department and how they operate in providing outstanding patient care.

Electronic copies of the Trust’s Annual Report and Accounts and Quality Account are available on the Trust website ahead of the event.

Questions can also be emailed in advance to dgft.foundationmembers@nhs.net with “AMM Questions” in the subject header. Trust Board members will respond during the Q&A session.
Those who are interested in attending can register their attendance to the Foundation Office via dgft.foundationmembers@nhs.net. Attendees can arrive from 3.45pm, with the meeting starting at 4.30pm and ending at 6pm. If attendees wish to go on a behind the scenes tour, this will finish at approximately 6.45pm.
