Accessing a blood test at The Dudley Group couldn’t be simpler. Depending on the type of blood test you need we have a range of information below to help you understand the process and ensure everything goes smoothly.
How you receive your appointments
We’ve moved over to digital letters in Outpatients – it means you can now view your appointment letter on your mobile phone.
Manage your referral
The Trust uses the NHS e-Referral Service which is national system for managing referrals and your initial outpatient appointment.
Patient Initiated Follow Up (PIFU)
As part of the Outpatient Improvement Programme, we have developed the Patient Initiated Follow Up (PIFU) service. This has been specifically designed for patients following surgery or treatment to allow them to access clinical teams if they feel they need to, rather than having a prearranged or regularly scheduled appointment.
NHS App
The NHS App is fast becoming the digital ‘front door’ to the NHS, with new features for patients to view and manage their hospital appointments.
