Patient Safety Partners
Patient safety partners (PSPs): Individuals who are willing to share their perspective, experience and skills to support and challenge the Trust’s safety improvement journey.
“Being a patient safety partner at The Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust has been an incredibly rewarding experience. From sitting on relevant safety and governance committees; reviewing and commenting on meeting papers and reports; being part of the Patient Safety Incident Response Framework (PSIRF) implementation group; to helping develop patient safety information resources; we as PSPs are actively involved in contributing to the design of safer healthcare at all levels in the organisation.
All the members of the patient safety team ensure that we are fully supported in our roles; appreciate our input and value our suggestions. I wholeheartedly endorse this role to all the members of the public who wish to bring patients’ voice and are passionate about making changes to improve safety and quality of care at The Dudley Group. Together, we can be the change we wish to see!”
