Community Rehab Pathway (DRS)
Own Bed Instead (OBI) is a seven-day rapid response service based at Brierley Hill Health and Social Care Centre. We are a team of occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and therapy assistants. You will be seen by the most appropriate health care professional.
We are available 8am-7pm Monday-Fridays and 8am-4pm on weekends and bank holidays.
We are able to offer up to four weeks of therapy input dependant on clinical need, including the provision of any equipment you may require.
We work in conjunction with the Dudley Clinical Hub. Our aim is to keep people as safe as possible in their own homes and avoid unnecessary hospital admissions. We also provide two-hour urgent care response to falls.
Your needs will be assessed and a plan will be agreed. This may be a one-off treatment or a therapy plan. Your treatment schedule will be agreed in conjunction with you, and you will be seen in your own home. As we are a rapid response service, your treatment plan with OBI will last up to a maximum of four weeks.
During or at the end of your treatment we may need to refer you to other services to meet your needs.
