Friday 12th December marked the successful completion of Jewson Partnership Solutions Christmas toy appeal in support of the Dudley Group NHS Charity, and it was an extraordinary day of community spirit, generosity, and partnership.
Jewson’s held a celebration event which was attended by the charity itself, the Mayor of Dudley, Councillor Peter Lee, local Councillor Ian Bevan and colleagues from Jewson Partnership Solutions and Dudley Council, alongside a wide network of dedicated suppliers and partners. Their support underscored the collective commitment to making a meaningful difference for children spending the festive season in hospital.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of all contributors, the toy appeal surpassed its original £1,000 worth of toys target, achieving an impressive £1,500 worth of toys and gifts. These donated toys and gifts will be distributed through the Dudley Group NHS Charity across the Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trusts paediatric services, to bring comfort, joy, and festive cheer to children who are accessing our services in the festive period.
Branch manager at Jewson’s Stuart Bell, said: “We are extremely proud of the strength of our partnership and grateful for the outstanding support shown by everyone involved. This appeal demonstrates what we can achieve when we come together with a shared purpose.”
The organisation extends heartfelt thanks to all who donated and participated, including those who work for Jewson Partnership Solutions and Dudley Council’s housing maintenance and contract management team. Suppliers and partners who contributed include MAXAM, Crossfold Electrical Wholesalers, Aldridge Security Limited, Methven UK Limited, Hippo & Filltite by Tembe, Premdor and Procurement for Housing and Verona.
Head of fundraising at Dudley Group NHS Charity, who attended the celebration event to receive the donations said: “We are truly overwhelmed by the kindness and generosity shown through this Christmas toy appeal. For children spending time in our care over the festive period, these gifts make a world of difference, offering joy, comfort and a reminder that their community is thinking of them. We are incredibly grateful to all our partners, donors and supporters for coming together to make this possible”.
