We collect data on our patients for the purposes of care and treatment and to audit that care and treatment. We may use personal and sensitive personal data for the purposes of teaching and research, but we will only do this with the consent of the patient and/or their carer where applicable.

We will use anonymised data wherever possible to protect patient confidentiality.

DOH may share information with other NHS or social care organisations for the purposes of ongoing care and treatment. You will always be informed of this and given the opportunity to object. We will also give out information as required by law, for example to comply with a court order.
