MEFestival 2026 is a flagship wellbeing and skills‑building event created and delivered by the Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust, funded by the Dudley Group NHS Charity, and hosted at the iconic Himley Hall. Designed for Year 5 and 6 pupils across Dudley, the festival champions confidence, resilience, creativity, and emotional wellbeing — all through the lens of the Five Ways to Wellbeing.

This is not just an event. It is a statement of what our Trust stands for: prevention, empowerment, partnership, and community impact.

A Celebration of Wellbeing, Learning & New Experiences

Across a full day of immersive workshops, pupils rotate through activities that build confidence, spark curiosity, and encourage self‑expression. From mask theatre with VAMOS, cricket with Worcester Cricket, and mindfulness with TAOD, to forest school, neon keyring crafts, Bangra Beats, and youth-led music sessions, every experience is designed to help children discover new strengths.

The festival brings the Five Ways to Wellbeing to life through hands‑on, memorable experiences:

  • Be Active – sports, movement, outdoor challenges
  • Keep Learning – creative workshops, stallholder marketplace
  • Connect – teamwork, communication, shared experiences
  • Take Notice – mindfulness, nature, arts
  • Give – charity engagement and community pledges

A Whole-Community Effort Led by the Trust

The MEFestival is powered by a wide network of partners — from local charities and youth services to arts organisations and emergency services — all coordinated by the Trust’s event leads and safeguarding teams.

Building Confidence & Resilience in Dudley’s Young People

The event is designed with clear, measurable outcomes that reflect the Trust’s strategic priorities:

  • Boosting confidence and emotional resilience
  • Encouraging physical activity and healthy habits
  • Supporting creativity, expression, and wellbeing
  • Strengthening community relationships
  • Providing meaningful takeaways, including certificates and wellbeing pledges

Why This Matters

MEFestival 2026 shows what the Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust does best: bringing people together, investing in young people, and creating healthier futures.

It is a celebration of partnership, creativity, and community spirit — and a powerful example of how the Trust continues to lead the way in prevention, wellbeing, and meaningful engagement with our partners.
