Undertaking patient experience survey work is a core part of the NHS service and aims to provide our organisation with a greater understanding of where services could be made better for patients. This is greatly helped by patients participating in survey and audit work.
If you have recently attended an appointment or been an inpatient, you may have received a patient questionnaire in the post or received an SMS text message containing a short survey. The questionnaire will ask about your visit and gives you an opportunity to tell us what your experience was like and how it could be improved for patients in the future.
The Trust is committed to support this endeavour by providing survey opportunities for patients across its range of specialities.
Surveys come in a variety of forms including:
- Paper based survey/questionnaire
- Interview/focus based surveys
- Friends and Family Test survey (FFT) available for completion on paper, on line or via SMS message. Launched by NHS England in April 2013. Click here to read further information about the FFT survey.
